The Cantigny 5K Run/Walk is a charitable, family-friendly event with all proceeds benefitting Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton.

25 homeless and at-risk Veterans received monthly household items to meet their basic needs thanks to the leadership of the Ace Hardware Corporation store located at 1705 N. Main Street in Wheaton!

During the September 1^st home game against the Fargo-Moorehead Redhawks, the Kane County Cougars partnered with MSHV to sponsor a “Cram the Van” event in support of our Freedom Commissary. For several hours prior to the game, Cougar fans stopped by our van to deliver household goods, monetary donations and encouragement. It was a great afternoon where MSHV was able to tell our story as well as meet some great people.

Thanks to the generosity of the Cougars and their fantastic fans, the Freedom Commissary received much needed household supplies and monetary donations that will ensure our veteran families will have the support they need to be successful.

For the first time in its history, the MSHV Freedom Commissary has exceeded the $200,000 mark in goods distributed to veterans in need and their families!
